Wakanow is Africa’s foremost travel tech company and offers the best travel deals and experiences. It has grown its market share and has established itself in other countries such asGhana and the United Arab Emirates. Alongside these strides, the company has also introduced innovative products and initiatives such as "WakaPoints" (its loyalty program), "PaySmallSmall" (a travel financing solution) and "WakaEvents" (an event ticketing platform).
CONTEXT
Since joining Wakanow's in-house agency, I've worked on a lot of major campaigns and projects. From day-day travel and flight social media deals designs to external Campaigns and Events collaborations. Here're some of the major campaigns I took part in curating design assets for.
TAKE A BREAK 2023
Take A Break is a yearly campaign launched every summer (July - September). It is one of. the peak periods for travel and vacation thus, there is always a high demand of design requests.
The sub-theme for Take A Break 2023 was "Escape to Paradise". I was very excited to take the lead on the creative direction for the campaign.
The first step I took was to propose a identity refresh for the campaign. Since, it's a recurring campaign, it needed an identity that would be easily recognisable and affiliated to summer. It's old logo was albeit simple, lacks a summer feels and is hard to remember.

All other design assets that were needed: Social media designs, Google Ads, Out of Home Designs(Lamp post designs, Billboards and Fliers) and Merch were designed.

TRAVELFEST 2023
Travelfest is the biggest and most anticipated campaign from Wakanow. It is launched during black friday with massive deals and discounts on flight deals and travel packages.
As this is also a recurring campaign, the sub-theme for Travelfest 2023 was "Unleash".
